Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ConvertTo.

What is ConvertTo?

ConvertTo (Belge Dönüştürücü) converts photos, documents, spreadsheets, audio and video files right on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. It lists only the formats the file you pick can be converted to.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Every conversion happens on your device; your files, their contents and their names are never sent to a server.

Which formats are supported?

Images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP, WebP, AVIF), documents (PDF, Word DOCX, RTF, HTML, Markdown, TXT), spreadsheets and data (Excel XLSX, CSV, JSON, Plist), audio (M4A, MP3, WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC) and video (MP4, MOV, M4V). The full list is in the app's Supported Formats table.

How do I convert a HEIC photo to JPG on iPhone?

Tap Choose from Photos in the app, or in the Photos app tap Share › ConvertTo. Choose JPEG and tap Convert, then save the result to Photos or Files.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes, up to 50 files at a time. You can merge images and PDFs into a single PDF and split a PDF into pages.

Can I extract text from a scanned PDF or a photo?

Yes. If there is no selectable text, the app uses on-device text recognition (OCR) for English and Turkish.

Why can't I save as MP3 or WebP?

Apple doesn't provide on-device encoders for these formats. You can still open files in these formats and convert them to other formats.

Is the app free?

Yes, it's free and supported by ads. iOS asks for your permission before personalized ads; you can use the app the same way if you decline.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, and Macs with macOS 14 or later.

How do I report a problem or send feedback?
